re: SaavSaab - a return to The Spirit of Saab

Dear Ed,

Since I sent you the attached email, we have been in communication with DB (here in copy) who kindly responded to my email to you. I have not however been able to receive a sale prospectus as I understand GM is very cautious who this goes out to. This is respected.

However, we are a serious opportunity for GM and Saab. I am attaching a "tip-of-the-iceberg" proposal and willing to share more once we are able to receive more information from GM/Saab.

Now that negotiations with other parties seem to have ground to a halt, I believe we are the only true option for GM and Saab as neither GM nor Saab will gain from a closure of this brilliant automotive icon. As commented in one of the recent articles:

'Analysts at shopping site AutoTrader.com say many have been researching BMW, Audi and Volvo. "As the Saab brand is shut down, it is likely many of those buyers will gravitate to those other brands," said Chip Perry, AutoTrader CEO'.

We are dynamic and nimble, and so able to turn-around this transaction promptly. Although we are clear that there are many issues (outside of GM) that need to be managed.

I hope to hear from your officers soon to see if we are able to save The Spirit of Saab.

Regards,
Aldo Grech

Aldo,

It was a pleasure speaking with you. We would be more than happy to follow-up with a confidentiality agreement. However, GM will only send a confidentiality agreement to a qualified bidder. Therefore, we need to know the identity of the interested parties in order to proceed.

Best regards,

Jason

Dear Ed,

CxO Consulting is a boutique change management leader. Our team has been involved with BMW, NRMA, AT&T, NCR, Proctor & Gamble, American Airlines and Canadian Airlines, to mention a few. As Peter Drucker proclaimed in the nineties, we believe that "Change comes from the outside", and our unique methodologies combined with Saab's advanced technological prowess will result in Saab returning to its roots building an exciting and profitable future.

This note is to inform you that we are ready to make an offer to take-over Saab. Our plan is unique, solid and built around securing the jobs for existing Saab employees and the ongoing development and proliferation of the Saab advanced technologies and inspirational history.

Whilst most writers are discounting Saab's future, we believe that Saab is in fact at a crucial turning-point to establish itself as the brand representing advanced technologies, environmental leadership and conscientious management, truly delivering a triple bottom line; a first in the Auto industry.

You will see in our offer that GM will also benefit from our take-over, resulting in a win for all parties involved and demonstrating the GM executive team as conscientious and caring while ensuring that GM's investors interests are respected and protected.

Please respond indicating your interest in our offer so we may send you our proposal. Ideally, we require Saab's sale prospectus and happy to execute required formalities and NDAs.

Regards,
Aldo Grech

Saab in 2010 and beyond

CxO Consulting has a plan to SaavSaab (save Saab!).

Saab has a notable history with many achievements (to many to mention here) and we'll let you (and urge you to) Blog your views in support of Saab. This Blog is regularly sent to the executives at GM and Saab as well as the Swedish government, to ensure our message is loud and clear.

Saab will continue to make fine and finer automobiles well into 2010 and beyond!

We want Saab to be the first Internet Model Car Company where the voices of believers like us are the fuel for growth, profitability, security for Saab's Swedish and global employees and a range of vehicles that are as futuristic as they echo the luminary history of Saab.

The team at CxO has a plan that requires your support a plan that will directly involve you and the Saab employees in the decision-making at Saab. Saab employees need you to purchase their cars and we need you to get this message out to the right executives. So please, BLOG here and forward to all your Saab friends so our messages are clearly heard. We shall shortly be posting a business plan that requires your input.
