re: SaavSaab - a return to The Spirit of Saab
We are dynamic and nimble, and so able to turn-around this transaction promptly. Although we are clear that there are many issues (outside of GM) that need to be managed.
Dear Ed,
Since I sent you the attached email, we have been in communication with DB (here in copy) who kindly responded to my email to you. I have not however been able to receive a sale prospectus as I understand GM is very cautious who this goes out to. This is respected.
However, we are a serious opportunity for GM and Saab. I am attaching a "tip-of-the-iceberg" proposal and willing to share more once we are able to receive more information from GM/Saab.
Now that negotiations with other parties seem to have ground to a halt, I believe we are the only true option for GM and Saab as neither GM nor Saab will gain from a closure of this brilliant automotive icon. As commented in one of the recent articles:
'Analysts at shopping site AutoTrader.com say many have been researching BMW, Audi and Volvo . "As the Saab brand is shut down, it is likely many of those buyers will gravitate to those other brands," said Chip Perry, AutoTrader CEO'.
We are dynamic and nimble, and so able to turn-around this transaction promptly. Although we are clear that there are many issues (outside of GM) that need to be managed.
I hope to hear from your officers soon to see if we are able to save The Spirit of Saab.
Regards,
Aldo Grech
